About This Listing
This is a 1940 Kalamazoo KHG-12 Hawaiian acoustic. These were built for slide guitar and the action is very high (it will need a neck reset if you want to use it for anything other than slide). The original finish has lots of nicks/dings/scratches as well as a good amount of lacquer checking and pick wear but overall it's a great looking vintage guitar. The frets are in excellent shape with very little wear (since it was used for slide). The bridge was replaced and the original bridge is also included. The top has a crack at the edge of the pickguard and I also see a crack running along the top on the low E side of the fingerboard. It also has a couple fret markers missing on the top edge of the fingerboard. The back and sides look to be free from cracks or issues. A nice light guitar at 3.25 lbs. I don't have a case for this but it will be packed extremely well to make sure it arrives safely. Please let me know if you have any questions.
