This is one of a small number of handcrafted banjos (estimated 60 all told) by Richard Criswell (deceased) in Monticello, KY. It is also one of the very few GOLD PLATED versions he created. It is in excellent condition, with normal slight wear on the gold plating, which is expected for such a well played/loved instrument. Richard used his own engineered tone ring and black rim with matching serial numbers. He used Prucha metal parts & Gotoh Tuners. The neck was also crafted by Richard and features the classic Scruggs inlay. It has great action and a strong bluegrass sound (CANON!). Great play-ability, sound and feel (hefty), but at 1/2 the price of a comparable Granada! Payment through Zelle is preferred. If you are looking for a great sounding professional level banjo at a reasonable price, look no further.
