Sonically, the M Model is related to the traditional sweet tone of the Fender/Dumble/Boogie family. Channel 2 is the same as on the Standard Model.

History
The TBR-1M (M = Maximum Flexibility) was masterminded by high-end American amp manufacturer Paul Rivera, founder of Rivera Research and Development. The TBR-1M for sale & pictured has all original Rivera Branded EL34 tubes with expected rack wear and some light blemishes. We are the second owners and it has sat in its custom rack for the past decade. Estimate 20 hours of use in its lifetime. The original owner set it in a rack and used it mainly to showcase its tones. Never gigged.

Volume & Master and Pcomp Control

  • The MASTER control regulates/boosts the amount of signal the power amplifier receives from the preamp section.
  • Each channel's individual input VOLUME Control boosts the preamp's volume without overdriving the signal.
  • The Pcomp knob controls the overdrive characteristics of the preamps lending a symbiotic 3-contact control system that is irrefutably superior to standard 2 Volume/Gain controls.

Preamp Channels
The TBR-1M has 2 distinctly different, totally Independent Input Channels.

  • Channel 2 was originally designed to be used as a clean rhythm tone with sonic textures kin to the Fender Baseman 4x10, Fender Black-face, and early plexiglass front Marshalls.
  • Channel 1 was designed for easy preamp distortion with a passive three-band network control for extreme timber manipulation possibilities and a voicing that outputs Deep, Fat low-end with Sweet Crisp highs, relatable to the Fender/Dumble/Boogie family however we excitedly dialed in the overdrive tones of Matamp GT120 and Sunn Model T along with many secular tones.
