Product Description: Not many people have seen this bass before.

Microfrets were produced only about 3,000 pieces in the U.S. during a limited period from the late 1960s to the early 1970s, and this time we have received a Signature Bass.

This Signature Bass is one of the Microfrets Signature Bass, which was produced only about 3,000 in the U.S. during the limited period in the early 1970s.

It is known as the favorite instrument of Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, but there may be very few people who have actually touched it.

The original shape of the body is double cutaway, and the wood is unknown, but it is chambered with a cavity inside the body (or perhaps it is more like a semi-acoustic). The neck is made of maple.

The neck is maple and the fingerboard is rosewood with a 4-point bolt-on joint. (Externally, the joint plate is a 5-point stop, but one point is a dummy.)

Position marks are double dot inlay, a design not seen before.

The nut is a MICRO-NUT, which is the biggest feature of MICRO-FRETS and also the origin of the brand name. The nut has a revolutionary structure that allows adjustment of each individual string.

It consists of 36 pieces, and it seems to have been patented.

. The Micro Nut seems to have been aimed at correcting the harmonic inaccuracies caused by the fixed length between the nut and the 12th fret, and to allow the string length to be adjusted not only by the saddle but also by the nut.

It comes with a tension bar and a decorative cover (with MICRO-FRETS logo engraved), which looks like a rod cover but is actually a decorative cover, and the rod adjustment opening is at the neck end.

The neck is about 40 mm wide at the nut and has a thin C-shape, which is slim and very easy to play. The scale is long scale, but you will need strings for super long.

Pegs are Sharller, and two original single type pickups are installed.

Controls are 1Vol, 1Tone, pickup selector, and tone shift switch, which is a little unusual for this era.

The sound is very rich and full, with a pleasant low-mid component with a light airiness and warmth.

The tone shift switch (siripara switch?) changes the output. The output can be adjusted by the tone shift switch (or "siripara switch"?) to cover a wide range of sounds, from gentle to harsh and powerful, giving the impression of an instrument with high specifications for all genres, contrary to its appearance.

It is not suitable for slapping.

The truss rod is tight and the frets are worn, but there are no problems in playing.

The string height was not originally built to drop significantly, so it may feel a little higher than the average modern setting.

As far as can be ascertained, no changes have been made and the original has been retained.

Please give it a try.
