About This Listing

Hi there

I'm selling this beautiful Fender D'aquisto from the 80s. This was my primary guitar for over a decade. I've acquired it in the 90s.

The guitar is in great playing condition and sounds fantastic. The strings are a bit old and it could possibly use a set-up, but I will leave this up to the buyer to do with their own preferences.

Some important points about the condition:

-the bridge pickup does not have any output. I've never used the bridge pu so I had no incentive to fix it. I think it might be an easy fix like a loose solder, dirty connection or something. The bridge pickup was still working a few years back. I can't be sure though.
The neck pu is all I use for amazing jazz tones. It works and sounds great
-there is no pick guard (these guards are notoriously flimsy. I used to have it when I was younger)
-someone started to drill another whole for the strap buttons in the butt of the neck. It's only in the finish. Again I got the guitar like this (see photos)
-the bridge and knobs might be non original. I bought the guitar like this so it might be a custom order as well. The other d'aquistos appear to have mostly wood knobs and bridge. The bridge sounds great and can be intonated unlike the original wood bridge. One of the knobs has a crack (see photos)
-there are some small cracks and a few chips in the finish only, like you would expect form a vintage guitar that has been played lovingly. NOTHING STRUCTURAL. These are only finish cracks. (Check the photos)
-there is some discoloration in the finish. Mostly close to the seams. The seams are perfect.

The price reflects the condition. Please examine the photos closely.

There is no case. I will pack the guitar with great padding.

That said the guitar is a joy to play and has great tones and vibes. I'm sad to part with it, but I'm sure it will find a good home.

I just recorded the video with my phone, so you can get an idea how the guitar plays and sounds. The quality is obviously phone-like :)

Please contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
