Greco is a long-established company that started producing musical instruments in the 1960s and has supported Japan's music industry for a long time up until the present day. They produce a wide variety of models, both copies and originals, and G Company LP copies in particular are highly rated and the used market is soaring.

This time we have received the LP professional model 'PE-480', one of the so-called 'Guneko' period products that were included in the catalog lineup in the early 1970s, and a copy from Greco's specialty G company.

[Body]
Overall weight approximately 4.3kg. The body material is mahogany, but unlike the original, it has a hollow body with a detachable neck structure, and it has a reproduction that gives you a sense of the era. Although the color name is not listed in the catalog, the body color is walnut for convenience. Overall, there are signs of use due to the model year, such as damage such as scratches and dents, and dullness of metal parts.

[Neck]
A later catalog states that the neck material is maple and the fingerboard is ebony. As mentioned above, unlike the original, it has a detachable joint specification. There are some deep dents and other small scratches on the side of the head and near the heel on the back of the neck. The tuner is equipped with a so-called 'star peg' that has a star mark on it. The frets are worn out and have a low profile, but there is no extreme chatter or clogging. Nut width approximately 42.3mm. The neck is solid in both width and thickness, but features a relatively flat neck shape.

[Electrical system]
The controls are [master volume/3-point rotary switch/bass tone/treble tone] knobs and [phase switch/tone selector switch/3way pickup selector switch]. In fact, it has 24 sound variations, but the behavior is different from the original, making it unique. It has a characteristic round and plump tone, and seems to go well with jazz. The tip of the tone selector switch has been replaced, making it easier to remove when switching.
