I am offering here an Epiphone SQ-180 Neil Diamond MBK from 2000, a limited edition Neil Diamond signature acoustic guitar handmade in the Epiphone Custom Shop in Saein, South Korea, with a handy J-180 Super Small Jumbo body shape, resonant solid Sitka spruce top, maple back and sides, set mahogany neck with 39.6mm nut width, bound rosewood fingerboard with elaborate Pearloid Diamond inlays, Belly Down Rosewood bridge and high-quality Epiphone Gotoh Deluxe chrome tuners with gold pegs and Custom Pearloid Interconnected Diamonds pickguard in a radiant Black Metallic high-gloss finish with prominent Neil Diamond signature on the headstock and multi-ply Ivoroid bindings in mint collector's condition incl. black hardshell case and professional setup with 11-gauge Elixir strings.

This limited edition Epiphone SQ-180 Neil Diamond Signature guitar, made in Korea in the early 2000s, is based on the handy J-180, the scaled-down Super Jumbo design of the Everly Brothers from 1962. Alongside the J-200, the J-180 is one of the most popular acoustic guitars in the world and has been played by some of the most famous guitarists ever, from Cat Stevens to Paul McCartney and Tom Petty to Neil Diamond... and this incredibly tasty-looking Epiphone SQ-180 Neil Diamond continues the legacy today.

The guitar is faithful to the 1962 Everly Brothers original with a 16'' lower bout body width and finely resonant solid Sitka spruce top and maple back/sides, which together deliver a powerful sound with clear trebles and bell-like overtones. The voluminous body also provides the guitar with a wide dynamic range and delivers a convincing sound, from delicate fingerpicking to passionate strumming.

As a special extra, this guitar comes in a special, sparkling metallic black high-gloss finish, which complements the gold/chrome hybrid Gotoh Deluxe tuners, the Neil Diamond signature prominently enthroned on the headstock and the interlocking Pearloid Diamond pickguards extremely tastefully.

The medium-width mahogany neck with its 39.6 mm nut width is also extremely comfortable to hold, even for smaller hands, and the playability of the 20 frets on the rosewood fingerboard set in cream-white bindings with the special Pearloid Diamond inlays is - despite its age - incredibly smooth-running.

This guitar is in mint collector's condition and technically flawless. Optically practically without signs of use (see pictures). The frets are like new.
