Very well cared for early 2000’s Hamer Newport. Very, very clean. We hesitate to call our used guitars ‘mint’ but this one is pretty close. Very slight playwear.

This Hamer USA Newport is considered by many to be the pinnacle of Hamer craftsmanship.  Purchased in 2003 from Make ‘n Music in Chicago, and played exclusively in its single owner’s home studio, the guitar is in excellent + condition.  It features a subtle orange sparkle finish, a bound body and neck, fully hollow carved mahogany body with a carved Adirondack spruce top, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, Grover Imperial tuners, a Bigsby vibrato, one tone and one volume control, and a 3-way pickup selector.  Seymour Duncan designed the Phat Cat P90 pickups in cooperation with Hamer specifically for this guitar.  This was the first guitar to receive a perfect “five pick” score from Premier Guitarmagazine in all categories.  It comes with the original black tolex Hamer USA hardshell case designed and built for this model.  The case has a shallow dent on the front, but the tolex is intact and the structure and protection are uncompromised.

The guitar has just received a fret level and set up from Third Coast Guitar Service in Chicago, and plays beautifully.  It has a new set of Elixir 10-46 strings.
