Up for sale is a classic 1964/1965 Silvertone Model 1484 Twin Twelve 60-watt piggyback tube amplifier. This legendary amp delivers iconic vintage garage rock and blues tones, fully serviced and upgraded for safe, reliable modern operation.
- Operational Status: Excellent functional condition. All potentiometers clean and noise-free.
- Tubes: Features vintage RCA 6L6 power tubes; remaining tubes are original Silvertone.
- Safety & Utility Upgrades:
- Modern 3-prong grounded power cord installed.
- Death capacitor and original ground switch safely disconnected.
- Auxiliary AC outlet safely bypassed.
- Custom RCA output/input jack setup added to the head and cabinet for clean, quick separation or cab swapping.
- Effects: Deep, strong tremolo and fully functional vintage low-fi spring reverb.
- Speakers: Upgraded with Jensen C12Q 12" speakers matching original specifications. Note: Original stock Jensen C12R speakers are included in the sale (see last photos).
- Cosmetics & Condition: Shows typical cosmetic wear and minor exterior marks on the head and cabinet consistent with age. The rear chassis panel has a light dent that is strictly cosmetic and does not impact internal components or electronics.
