About This Listing

I'M selling my Sound City B140 4x12 guitar cab.

According to research, the cab was built by Dallas Arbiter between 1970 and 1973 (there is an auction site where 2 B140s from Eric Clapton's "Derek and The Dominos" were auctioned with similar serial numbers).

The serial number of this cabinet is B87F1107.

The B140 series is identical to the L140 series, but with an additional vent for more bass amplification.

About the speakers:

  • 2 x 40W Sound City/Fane 122190 without dustcovers
  • 1 x 50W Sound City/Fane 12287
  • 1 x 50W Eminence P12PPGF 16AX
  • Impedance 16 ohm mono

Overall condition is very good, the wheels are still usable, the side handles work perfectly, the original grill cloth is in good condition.

I played the box with my Hiwatt DR103 Custom for years.

Since I am no longer an active musician and the box has become too big and loud for my apartment, I would like to pass it on.

If you're looking for the original sound of 70s heroes like David Gilmour/Pink Floyd, Pete Townsend/The Who, the guitar cab comes very close.

Can be tested at my place at room volume, pedalboard and guitar would also be available for testing.

The configuration of the speakers and the condition of the box make the price more than fair.

Private sale without guarantee or warranty.

From a pet-free and smoke-free home.

Please only pick up in Vienna. Thank you for understanding.
