Here is a gem: a 1996 Limited Edition 30th Anniversary acoustic-electric Ovation MM68-7 LTD mandolin, crafted in New Hartford, CT, USA.

It is one of only 30 made for the company's 1996 30th year in business. It weighs 3.06 lbs.

This rare model is nicknamed "The Book Mandolin" as one was featured in the 30th Anniversary book, "The History of the Ovation Guitar" by Walter Carter. A photo of the book cover is attached.

Included with this sale is the original hard shell case in excellent condition plus the original paperwork. The case keys are included as is an unused mid-90's Fender medium plectrum.

The mandolin is immaculate - in mint, unplayed condition.

After a thorough examination and set up by the world-class luthiers at Wildwood Guitars (in Louisville, CO, USA), the instrument looks, feels, sounds, and plays beautifully. The tone is rich and woody acoustically and through a PA or amplifier.
