G&L Tom Hamilton's Aerosmith, ASAT Bass, (TH2 #4) 2010s - Blue Glitter
We just received another round of basses and amps from Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith. Tom is a founding member of Aerosmith. After 50 years in one of the hardest touring bands ever, he’s accumulated so much gear that’s he’s asked us to help put it in the hands of people who can love it as much as he has. This gear has made rock and roll history on the world’s largest stages and most intense studio scrutiny. Now it’s your turn to take it, and make your own rock history.

Since about 2000 the G&L ASAT has been Tom's main live bass. He now has his own Tom Hamilton Signature Model line in several different finishes. This G&L Blue Glitter ASAT Bass was part of Tom's Aerosmith touring rig from about 2012 till 2022. He played the bass extensively during this period and can be seen playing it in the live concert video screen grabs below.
His tech Aiden Mullen explained some of the customizations talks about some of the customizations he did on this bass, "We did a little bit of customization on the electronics. There are some switches inside the body cavity that perform different functions, Spilt Coil, Pre amp ON, BOOST and CUT. We found the sweet spot on the switches, then put them in the cavity and then plug the holes so he can't bang them when he's playing". He also added an extender to the strap peg to balanced the bass at at an angle that Tom was more comfortable with. The bass shows obvious signs of use but remains in excellent condition. It was checked out by his tech. No notable issues.

As a special bonus we've added a personalized "Hamilton" NHL Hockey jersey gifted to him by the Columbus Blue Jackets NHL hockey team. The team gave all members of Aerosmith personalized jerseys when the band played their stadium in 2012.
The guitar is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag. A hardshell Fender case, one of Tom Hamilton's custom bass pics and a certificate of authenticity signed by Tom Hamilton are also included.
