About This Listing

This amp will steal your girlfriend. It says so right on the tube chart. It also says it was “made in the USA, baby”. As if that werent enough reason to own this, it‘s also an excellent amp. Victoria made a name by building Fender tweed clones made “like they used to be”, in the good old days. The good old days are overrated. Instead, this is how they would have made them if they had consistent and stable semiconducters, good transformers and better technique. That said, Victoria uses better components and stricter attention to detail. They are known for it. This model is not a clone of a Fender Amp. More like a Victoria Regal. It’s its own thing, sort of a deluxe reverb preamp married to a marshallesque poweramp. Victoria’s amp designer says this model, (with 6L6’s) develops 30 watts. It doesnt seem that loud to me. Its sits really well in a four piece on stage, not too loud but none the less, rich and juicy. I particularly like the 2x10 option. I was looking for a Vibrolux when I found the Victoriette. The good Vibrolux’s were crazy money and new ones arent very good. I found this little amp, and I love it. For the last 5 years, this is my main amp, I will be sorry to let it go. It covers everything I do and never complains. I play often and I need good sound in every room, dependable performance and something easily transported. At low low volume it is still rich and full. In a funk band it does the telecaster stabs, in a country band it delivers the chicken pickin, and in a blues band it sings. I play in just about every band in my area, in big and small venues. It has great reverb and accepts pedals graciously, the only knock is: the trem is not deep. I use a pedal for that so I dont care. Bottom line, my wife wants me to get rid of equipment so she doesnt have to when I take a dirt nap. THis amp is not very heavy. (But a couple of large transformers and 2x10s add up to a bit of heft. I think it weighs in the 40lb range) Truth is as I am older than a 53 Chevy Bel Air, and I dont want to move heavy stuff anymore. Want a dependable, great sounding amp? Here it is. It has no tears, no broken anything. A couple of scuffs. The tolex is more like a faux leather. See the pics. New tubes last spring. Make an offer!
