About This Listing

Early 70’s Greco SA-500 Hollowbody in Vintage Sunburst with a gig bag. Some might think this is a Gibson ES-339 copy (or more accurately, an ES-390 copy with full size humbuckers), but this actually PRE-DATES the ES-339 by about 40 years. It is fully-hollow (has a small block under the bridge). There are a couple of knicks on the body but overall its in great shape for it's age. This is also a rare color. I have yet to see another SA-500 in this orange/black burst with a black neck. I've only seen them come in the yellow/red burst on the body & neck (see the other SA-500's listed). The video is not of this exact guitar but that is exactly how it sounds - very versatile!

It had a refret from a prior owner and the neck binding was roughed up which is why I'm listing this as only "Good" condition. For those who had seen the old listing where I mentioned there was buzzing, it is now fixed. The 12 fret became unseated and needed to be tapped back in which I did. There is now no buzzing.

Some other things to note:
• I don't believe the tuners are original but they are definitely period-correct 70's Gotoh tuners. Other than that, this guitar is all original.
• The inlays on the fretboard have shrunk a bit.
• Neck is nearly straight currently with only a millimeter or so of relief using a notched straight edge. See 3rd to last photo. There is no buzzing.
• Truss rod, I believe is at its max for LESS relief (convex). It can still turn the other way if you want MORE relief (concave).
• There is a small hole that was plugged on the back right horn.
• The Volume knobs are missing their top labels.
• Each of the plastic saddles were slotted twice for different string spacings.

Specs:
• Nut width: 40.50 mm (1.59 inch)
• Depth at 1st & 12th fret: .82"/21mm , .88"/22.3mm
• Scale length: 24 3/4"
• Weight: 6.23lbs
• Original Maxon High Performance Humbuckers (PAT Pending)
• All electronics are working as should
• 14" lower bout, White Sycamore body
• Ebony fretboard
• Action @ 12th fret is nice and low: 1.25mm on high E and 1.50 on low E

No returns, so please ask any and all questions. Open to decent offers. Will ship with gig bag (not pictured). I've shipped many guitars and be assured it will be well-packaged. I will ship with UPS with signature confirmation and Reverb Safe Shipping. Thanks for looking!
