About This Listing

Here is a very unusual guitar from the family at the Ernie Ball Music Man organization. The Casey Lee Ball Foundation is a nonprofit organization where 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to pediatric kidney research. Casey Lee Ball, third son of Sterling Ball, President of Ernie Ball, Inc., was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease at age two. At age five, while Casey and Sterling were recuperating from kidney transplant surgery at UCLA, they decided to create the Casey Lee Ball Foundation. The major source of funding for the Casey Lee Ball Foundation has been the Casey Lee Ball Golf Classic, an annual charity golf tournament held with celebrity guests including Bill Murray, Jack Nicholson, Joe Pesci, Andy Garcia, John Brodie, Robert Urich, Wayne Gretzky, Christopher Guest, Scott Hamilton, Cheech Marin, Chris Myers, Meatloaf, Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, Alice Cooper, Dweezil Zappa, George Clooney, and many more. This pretty Axis Sport was done in a light Gold Metallic finish w/a maple nec and two DiMarzio custom Humbuckers.

This exact guitar was the prize for 1st place and was won by a local golf pro that resides in Delray Beach. Its got its 7th Annual Casey Lee Ball Classic Golf Tournament logo on its face & many of the special guests signed this Axis guitar. There is documentation on the internet if you google "7th annual Casey Lee Ball Golf Classic' There is only one other I've seen known to exist. It did not have signatures on it as I assume that it was for a raffle. The signatures on this guitar are pretty well faded.

This guitar was previously listed on consignment by Guitar Broker in Ft Lauderdale but the owner decided to sell it on his own and that is how I came into ownership of it. Steve Vai's signature is the only legible signature on it. Others have faded but can still be seen. Guitar is in amazing condition and plays perfectly as its been professionally set up.

Guitar comes with the original case

Please check photos for condition and message me with any questions you may have. Sold as described. Guitar will be professionally packed and shipped with reverb safe shipping for peace of mind. Thanks for looking!
