About This Listing

A dynamite player with an incredibly resonant tone - really warm, natural acoustic voice. The dual FilterTrons sound great & deliver that classic Gretsch sound. Professionally inspected & set up so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The body binding is cracking & has deteriorated in certain spots with a few small pieces missing. The neck binding is fine. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.

Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Professionally refretted & frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Gretsch & Horseshoe inlays. There were different tuners on at one point as evidenced by the filled screw holes, but the original Grovers are back on. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-cutaway, double-bound, chambered maple body with dual, simulated F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Rocking Bar bridge. Mute assembly works, but the felt mute pad is newer. Gold plexi pickguard with Chet Atkins signature. The guard is in great shape with no cracks. The back pad is also in great shape with all the snaps present. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.2 oz.

Electronics: FilterTron humbuckers with gold bezels. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls all with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup, tone & standby switches. All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Original deluxe Cowboy hardshell case included.
