Carvin X220 Electric Guitar 1990

Today, for your consideration - a 1990 Carvin X220. This guitar came to our shop in need of a lot of love, and so a lot of love we gave it. It needed a new bridge, tremolo springs, strings (of course), and a thorough cleaning. Along the bottom of the guitar there is what appears to be clear overspray, perhaps that made its way on in an accident or some other reason. Whatever it is is worth mentioning. We have the guitar set up with an “under Floyd Rose patents” bridge and it plays quite well. The frets are huge and the neck is quick. They have plenty of life left with no need for a leveling or refret as of this moment. Something that we found rather peculiar is that there is no locking nut on the guitar. The original purchaser opted for locking Sperzel tuning machines which stay in tune very well with a standard nut and the Floyd trem system. There is room in both directions of the truss rod and it moves without issue. We can install a locking nut as well if that is your preference.

Overall, please consider this a player grade guitar. It does play well and looks nice from the front but there is wear all throughout the body. Little scratches, dings to the corners, and the mentioned overspray should all be taken into consideration and are reflected in our price. Buy this one to rock on stage and put to good use, it is by no means a collector instrument.

No case will be included with the sale but the guitar will be very carefully packed.
