James Burton, who now ranks 19th on the all-time list of the 100 best guitarists of all time, had a strong influence on a generation of Country, Blues and Rock guitarists. His legendary "chicken picking" style is still unmatched to this day and made James Burton a legend in the Country scene.
Here is a fantastic Fender Telecaster James Burton from the Signature Series, where you are immediately hooked the first time you play! It sounds just as hot as it looks. This unique Telecaster was equipped with three single-coil pickups specially designed for James Burton, which can be switched by a special 5-way "Strat-o-Tele" switch. In addition, futher switching options can be accessed while playing using the S-1 switch, which is integrated in the volume control. That makes this Tele a real sound miracle! In contrast to other Teles, a body made of basswood was deliberately chosen in order to achieve the typically powerful and resonant Burton sound that comes through succinctly in any mix. The "1-piece" maple neck with a classic Vintage 60s U-profile fits comfortably in the hand and provides an excellent feel.
But this Fender Telecaster James Burton not only sounds great, it looks damn good too! The fiery "paisley" flames on the black background are awesome! An eye catcher of the first rank! You want to grab it right away and play a fiery picking or solo!
