Gretsch's G6040MCSS is a 17" archtop inspired by the legendary Synchromatic models of the 1940s, with distinctive "cat's eye" soundholes, stairstep bridge and harp tailpiece. Gretsch modernized the Synchromatic with a cutaway and a top-mounted pickup with controls easily accessible on the pickguard. Only flaw besides your typical pick marks are 2 finish checking on the top bout. These are purely cosmetic and are almost impossible to see.
