Ibanez Roadstar II RS1500 Brown Sunburst Electric Guitar 1984 Pre-Owned

Here is quite the rarity for the lover of vintage Ibanez guitars, an Ibanez Roadstar II RS1500 made in Japan in 1984. This guitar is in good player grade condition for it's age and is finished in a brown sunburst with matching headstock.

This guitar shows signs of wear and age with a few paint chips and dings on the body, headstock & neck (as pictured). There is also patina of the hardware consistent with age and a fair amount of fret wear. It is still playing nicely and producing some brilliant tones with those Ibanez Super Power 6 pickups.

A rare and neat piece of Ibanez history. A high quality instrument featuring thru-neck construction, ash body wings and a rosewood fretboard. Comes with hardcase, original tremolo arm not included.

The RS1500 is a Roadstar II Series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983. It was made in Japan as part of the Roadstar Custom line.

The RS1500 features a neck through body construction with ash body wings with an arched top attached to a three piece laminated maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include a trio of Ibanez Super Power 6 single coil pickups mounted in pickup rings with the bridge askew, a Hard Rocker Pro single locking tremolo bridge, Sure Grip II control knobs and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.

Controls consist of a master tone and a shared volume for the neck and bridge pickups along with a 3-way pickup selector. The second volume allows the center pickup to be added to any combination of the neck and bridge.
