Yuichi Imai classical guitar from 1982 - excellent instrument - clear, woody, and dark sound

Yuichi Imai 1982 - exremly beautiful sounding classical guitar from that great Japanese luthier!

Yuichi Imai is one of Japan's most revered and experienced luthiers, being an independent maker since the opening of his own workshop in 1971. Several top players including Aniello Desiderio, Frank Bungarten and Alvaro Pierri have played Imai guitars. Very few of his guitars are exported due to the high demand in Japan, so it is a pleasure to have one for sale her in Vintage Guitar World.

This particular instrument is built with stunning materials including this gorgeous rosewood for the back and sides. It also has a spruce top of excellent quality. The craftsmanship is exquisite as well. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width 52 mm.

Sound-wise, this is a powerful concert guitar with ample volume and weighty presence that is reminiscent of the great Madrid instruments from the 1960's and 70's. The basses are firm and steady while the trebles are thick, balanced and cleanly separated, making this an incredibly versatile instrument for any musical setting.

The guitar is in good condition and doesn't have any cracks or repairs. It has some amount of wear from play and use. as you would expect it from an instrument which has been played regularly diuring all hese years. It plays great with a straicht neck and a low action.

The guitar comes with the original case.
