Galanti Single Cut Hollowbody

From my personal collection since I‘m thinning the herd!

Here we have a super rare italian Galanti with factory fitter DeArmond/Rowe pickups!
Those pickups are usually found on Vintage Gretsch, Harmony, Airline, Silvertone and many more guitars.
The sound is hot, woody, interesting and just pure rocknroll.

This guitar is in great shape considering it‘s age, showing a beautiful patina on it‘s polished nitro lacquer. It has a few dings and dongs but nothing big to worry about.

The body is full hollow with one single cut. You can tell it resonates somewhat like an Epiphone Casino. The top and sides wear a beautiful three tone sunburst, whereas the back has a more primitive to tone sunburst. The scale of this beaut is 25.15“

I modified the three way switch to work like modern switches and the pots to wok as one volume and one tone per pickup. Pretty standard and straight forward.

The neck is straight and has very smooth and fast feeling to it, sporting a I‘d say full C shape. The fretboard is made out of rosewood and the frets still have about 80% life to them.

The nut width is 42mm. Truss-Rod works!

The original Van Ghent tuners work smoothly and hold the tune alright.

The funniest thing about this guitar is the whammy bar. It wiggles and wobbles like nothing else and you can easily do those shoegazy rhythm patterns with the trem in yer palm.
