Westone Thunder III fretless bass made in the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan in 1984. The body is made from solid Canadian ash and with a through body heelless neck in maple and walnut. the original fretless fretboard is in ebony with small side dot markers. There are two split coil pickups with a three-way pickup selector switch, and the three mini switches are phase reverse, dual tone and active tone. The three brass knobs provide volume control, active tone and passive tone. Apart from the knobs the bridge and bridge saddles are also in brass. The hardware is in gold and the backplates are in anodised aluminium with a brass effect.
I have it since 1989. A tiny MOT and this vintage masterpiece will play like a dream!
