About This Listing

Sporting some of the finest craftsmanship money can buy, this Taylor is made for the advanced player who wants to reach the pinnacle of high-end acoustic playability. It features a gorgeous build, premier acoustic appointments, and dynamic electronics.

Gorgeous Build
The 614ce is shaped into the Grand Auditorium body style, renowned for its versatility. It sports a Venetian cutaway which curves with soft, round lines to allow for higher fret access. The back and sides of this guitar are made from maple, while the top is crafted from torrefied Sitka spruce. Those tonewoods, when coupled with Taylor's innovative V-Class bracing style, create natural resonance and fine tonal projection. The tropical mahogany neck with West African ebony fretboard assures consistent and beautiful sounding playability.

Premier Acoustic Appointments
Made to look and sound great, this guitar sports some excellent appointments. The 614ce boasts a natural looking pickguard, made from Massacar ebony. The maple back and sides have been hand-rubbed with Brown Sugar stain which brings forth the richness of the maple. Notably, the fretboard and peghead are adorned with grained ivoroid wings for an elegant aesthetic which glistens against the darker wooden backdrop. The 614ce's attractive design is outlined with ebony binding, and a paua abalone rosette trimmed with ebony and ivoroid surrounds the soundhole.

Dynamic Electronics
The icing on the cake of this amazing acoustic is the electronics. With this much quality in an instrument, Taylor would be remiss to not have it amplified. They outfitted the 614ce with their Expression System 2 electronics. The progressive design features a behind the saddle pickup, positioned to encompass more tone than ever before with added sonic dynamics and clarity. You can adjust your sound with the subtle volume, treble, and bass knobs on the top of the guitar.
