About This Listing

We are pleased to announce the arrival of an ES-347 made in 1979.

The ES-347 was produced from 1978 until 1991, and is similar to the ES-345, which is between the ES-335 and ES-355, but has a coil-tap function instead of a baritone switch.

Both front and rear pickups are original. Pots are original for both front and rear pickups.
Some of the other parts are soldered and cannot be identified, but they are probably original due to the coloring and other factors.

The frets and nut are also original, and the overall condition is original.
The frets are low, but considering the fact that it is original, we will not replace the frets and will present it as is.

After receiving the guitar, it has been checked and adjusted as a whole by a professional repair person, and is in good playing condition.

Product Overview
Introduced as a replacement for the slowly-waning ES-345, the Gibson ES-347 TD was produced between 1978 and 1991. Its semi-hollow body sported coil-tapping pickups and a tunable tailpiece, and this higher-end ES entry was generally brighter and had a far better sustain than others in the series due to a number of factors, including its brass nut.
