This Collings OM2HG has upgraded German Spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides and Adirondack Spruce Braces and Custom Deep Body. This instrument has been meticulously well cared for. The instrument is in near mint condition, with the exception of the most minor of signs of ownership. This Extraordinary 2014 OM2HG has the late Bill Colling's actual signature inside on the label. This really is a beautiful looking and sounding guitar.
With the upgraded German Spruce top, the instrument has a brighter tone. However, this Collings OM2HG gives that brightness extra depth with its upgraded Adirondack braces. Adirondack is known for transferring energy better than other tone woods and providing a richer and more complex sound than Sitka, which is standard in other Collings OM models.
This Collings OM2HG has a custom deeper body that gives more volume and bigger bottom end, allowing you to play this guitar much harder than your typical OM without losing the overall balance. This depth makes it perfect for every acoustic genre except for bluegrass, but you still get good definition since it’s not a dreadnought guitar.
