McIlroy AS46 Acoustic with Master-grade Italian Spruce / Premium Laurelwood. I purchased this unique & extremely wonderful, McIlroy AS46 new from a McIlroy dealer in 2022. Completion date on this custom build was 2/2022. It is in Mint or, let's call it, Mint-. It plays perfectly and is without flaw or issue. The neck plays wonderfully and the smaller size makes it a great go-everywhere guitar. This is a great example of what small-shop luthier-built guitars are like. The AS series is a small-jumbo but sized in-between a 00 and 000 - but a little deeper. Every aspect of this guitar is elegant. Just look at the understated inlays. Gorgeous. Short video clip in photos recorded directly into iPad without modification. This is an heirloom guitar that I'm only offering to decrease my number of guitars.

Although a little smaller than a 000, it is louder than most 000's I've owned. The guitar is a more manageable size for sitting and great for someone wanting a big sound from a smaller guitar. This is another example of the first-rate custom guitars coming out of Northern Ireland. The guitar has a clear, bell-like tone that is articulate and sweet. Finger-style players will love the immediate response but it handles pick and strumming great. If you are familiar with the world-class luthiery coming out of Northern Ireland, you are familiar with McIlroy guitars and their excellence. If not, you should get familiar with the quality coming out of Dermot's shop. The only issue with McIlroy is that he can't make guitars fast enough. Here's your chance now.

This guitar has a Master Grade Italian Spruce top and a Premium Laurelwood set for the back and sides. It was Dermot McIlroy's first AS-46 and it is fantastic. I am selling because I've got to downsize a little. The AS-46 is rich and resonant and is the finest small-bodied guitar I've ever played, or owned.
