Knight PA Conversion PROJECT Tube Amplifier - Tweed Amp

Selling a conversion / rebuild of a Knight PA tube amp. This amp works, but needs a little more attention to finish the job. When powered on and connected to a speaker it is making "motor-boating" noises, my best guess is the older caps need to replaced and perhaps the wiring layout also needs to be tweaked a little bit to avoid any loops. Basically small stuff if you know what you're doing. These amps, this specific 30 watt 6L6 model, converts to a GREAT 5E5 Tweed Pro circuit... think tweed deluxe on steroids.

Only thing missing is the bottom panel, easily replaced or made from hardware store sheets or screens of whatever type you like.

Rated at 30 watts with original robust USA made power and output transformers in great condition, this amp runs a 5U4-G rectifier (RCA), a pair of cathode biased 6L6-G power tubes (modern Tung Sol) and 2 6SC7 preamp tubes (RCA metal body). Can easily convert to standard 12AX7 or 12AY7 also. Current speaker output is setup to switch between 8 or 4 ohm, but there is a tap coming off the transformer for 16 ohm as well. Can also easily add an additional output jack, as well as more input jacks and a fuse if you like as well.

I've reworked this exact model of Knight PA amps before and they sound loud and glorious when done up completely. You will be getting a great amp and a fairly easy project to complete. But do please note *you will need to have this project fixed up just a little bit to get it fully working* - no returns for "its making motorboating sounds and needs work" - that's clearly indicated here. You or a decent amp tech can get this up and running very easily.
