1980s Fender Squier Stratocaster MIJ E-SERIES

FOR SALE my (FENDER) SQUIER E-SERIES STRATOCASTER

This dates to approximately the period 1984-1987 and was Made in Japan (MIJ) in the FujiGen Factory.

Serial Number E65*****

It is finished in Black with a (very) aged white scratchplate and features a very attractive birds eye maple neck.

For a 30-year-old instrument it is in good condition but does have a couple of cosmetic marks, the worse of which is a knock to the top horn which I have tried to capture in one of the photographs. One of the control knobs was replaced before I owned the guitar and appears whiter/newer than the remainder of the fittings. The electrics all operate as they should with no crackle or scratching.

As far as I know, it is all original save the newer tone knob that I mentioned earlier and a tremolo arm that I picked up a few years ago but don’t really use. I also have a black plastic plate for covering the opening on the back of the guitar but cannot say whether this was as per original fitting.

The guitar was recently set up by Absolute Music, is strung with Ernie Ball Hybrid 10s and comes complete with a hard case.
