Taylor K14ce Builders Edition

Taylor Builder's Edition K14ce V-Class acoustic-electric guitar is an instrument that takes performance, playability, and aesthetics to an entirely new level. Made using Taylor's exclusive patented V-Class bracing design, this special K14ce comes jam-packed with exclusive, redefined Builder's Edition performance and tone enhancements that master luthier and guitar designer Andy Powers incorporated to truly put this guitar in a class all its own. To top it all off, the Taylor Expression System 2 electronics make this beauty as much of a performer as it looks a looker. If you're a guitarist that wants a truly special instrument with a beautiful sound and absolutely breathtaking aesthetic appeal, the Builder's Edition K14ce is a wonderful choice.

V-Class Bracing Design

Taylor's groundbreaking V-Class bracing helps improve sustain and volume, and behaves like an acoustic transducer for the top of the guitar. In addition to enhancing volume and sustain, it manipulates the soundboard energy in a way that improves intonation. This yields greater volume and power in the upper register and improves the sonic arrangement of fundamental notes and overtones.

Redefined Builder's Edition Performance and Tone Enhancements

Taylor's K14ce Builder's Edition is the inspiration behind Taylor's revolutionary V-Class bracing. Master luthier and guitar designer, Andy Powers, wanted to build a unique instrument to showcase the bracing along with amazing, unique features. A gorgeous West African ebony beveled armrest improves comfort and ties in an updated ergonomic body contour treatment along with a reshaped, beveled cutaway. A set of Antique Gold Gotoh 510 tuners provide precise, accurate tuning. A special silent satin finish with Kona Burst highlights the beauty of the Hawaiian koa while helping reduce inherent noise from contact with the body. Spring Vine inlays for the fretboard and headstock of pearl complement the gorgeous West African ebony binding and the paua/koa top and back edge trim. The West African ebony headstock on the neck helps finish off this stunningly elegant guitar.

Taylor Expression System 2 Electronics

The Taylor Expression System 2 is an award-winning electronics system that captures the natural sound of the guitar when plugged in. A proprietary, three piezo pick up mounted behind the saddle creates a more clear and accurate sound. The active preamp offers volume, bass, and treble controls in a sleek, unobtrusive design to allow you to shape your tone and a phase switch optimizes your sound while offering feedback reduction depending on your environment.
