Ibanez Axstar Roadstar RS440 HSS || 1986 - Black and Gold

Beautiful 1980s Ibanez that is also a bit of a rare bird. This is essentially a Roadstar RS440. But with Axstar on the headstock. The neck is the profile of an 80s Roadstar neck. As far as I can tell, this model may have only been available in Europe. HSS configuration with a 5-way switch. PLUS: the tone pot is has a push split function that turns the bridge pickup into a single coil. So you can have a three single coil configuration or an HSS.

The hardware is gold. Including the Hard Rocker tremolo that is rarely seen in gold. It has a great look and a fresh setup. Appears to be all original. Super cool and hard to find. Fantastic Roadstar maple neck. Dated 1986 according to gold neck plate. The parts are worth far more than my asking price. This is a fine 80s machine absolutely to the standard of the Roadstars of the time.
