About This Listing

Freshly set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech, this '76 Reissue Explorer is dialed in and ready to wreak havoc at your next show.  In Very Good condition for an instrument of this age, including some scratches (especially on the back), dings, and general aging of the hardware and finish.  Overall though, it presents extremely well in its "murdered out" all black theme.  Powerful looking and awesome sounding with its upgraded Seymour Duncan humbuckers.  Comes with an SKB hard shell case.  See below for more details and specifications.

FROM SEYMOUR DUNCAN RE PICKUPS:

SENTIENT PICKUP.  Whether run clean or through the filthiest of high gain channels, the Sentient neck offers the articulation demanded by modern metal players.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Sentient uses an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

INVADER PICKUP.  The Invader delivers the thickest, deepest low-end response of any passive pickup we make. Chords sound almost subsonic with lower tunings, but balance nicely with the crunchy treble, keeping everything well defined. While the Invader bridge looks mean and vicious, because it is mean and vicious, the Invader neck humbucker is surprisingly warm and smooth, despite its intimidating looks, and yields a thick crunch and moaning sustain.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Invader features three large ceramic bar magnets, oversized metal oxide poles, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
