About This Listing

Jean Baptiste is proud to introduce the newest addition to its heralded line of saxophones, the 950 Series. Inspired by the classic French saxophones introduced after World War II, the 950 model fuses classic designs with modern improvements that set a new bar for the saxophone industry.

Each 950 is equipped with a vintage inspired neck that provides a lush complex sound, and yield to a pleasant buzz when the horn is pushed. The 950 model has superb intonation, response and a free blowing design.

The 950 features classic ergonomics that set the standard for the modern saxophone, complete with mother-of-pearl Front F and alternate F# key touches, and smaller left and right hand pinky tables that will be familiar to seasoned players, and comfortable for the younger player ready to make the leap into the world of professional saxophones.

The Jean Baptiste 950 comes standard in a rich dark lacquer with mother of pearl key touches, and without the High F# key, just like it was during the golden era of saxophones. The 950 is completed with a backpackable wood frame travel case and a vintage-inspired granadilla end plug.
