About This Listing

Excellent condition Duo Jet, great guitar!

I pinned the bridge (Tack under the bridge holiest give them something to seat into, the right way). It intonates great with 10’s and is well setup. Plays and sounds excellent - I actually liked it so much I bought a vintage Country Gentleman. They feel very different, but actually sound very similar, so I’m letting go of the Duo Jet. These reissue guitars are in a lot of ways better than the old ones, the playability is more of a generic “great guitar” where the action is low, frets feel nice, everything is solid. The old ones are funky feeling, and definitely less battle worthy!

The only minor issue is the bridge scratched the top a decent bit before I got it around the contact points, so you will definitely notice some scratches on the top there. The modern Gretsch finish is a relatively thick poly so it looks and feels really glossy and there are no age or wear marks. There are a few dings but not many, some oxidation on the pickup covers, little to no fret wear - good to go!
