Super cool and very rare 1978 made in the USA Fender Musicmaster bass. Not everyday that you come across a 46 year old short scale Fender bass. It’s kind of difficult to capture in the photos, but the black finish has extensive finish checking over the entire body. This doesn’t affect playability at all, it‘s simply a result of its vintage aging/aesthetic. The original pickup (which was really just a Strat guitar pick, not an actual bass pickup) has been professionally replaced with a McNelly Musicmaster Bass pickup. The McNelly replacement pickup sounds much deeper and has a lot more bottom end than the original Strat-style pickups that came in Musicmaster basses.
Unfortunately, this bass does not have an original case and does not come with one.
