About This Listing

Thanks for the interest!

We also do commissioned guitar hunts on the Japanese market, so feel free to message us if you have something in mind or even if you are unsure. We can make recommendations that suit your taste to the best of our knowledge.

Here we have a commissioned piece from HiP-Sound, a local Japanese guitar shop within our Revival Music Network. If not for our inventory or our Guitar Hunting Program, follow us for more commissioned pieces from local Japanese guitar shops!

Please note that these items may be for sale locally and, although we do our best to keep our information up to date, there may be a chance that this piece has already sold locally in Japan.

This is a one-off bass that was custom-made by ESP Japan. From the badass body shape to the unique headstock, everything was designed for the buyer and made to order.

You will not find another bass like this one, unless you custom order from ESP like the original owner. ESP Japan custom orders are very meticulous and can only be ordered in-person at their shops (although there are some dealers that do order for you for a price). Prices for custom orders are usually around the $6-7000 range, if not more, and this bass is not an exception, costing an alleged $7000.

Just looking at it, if this isn't a metal-worthy bass, we don't know what is...Enough said!

Another special feature of this bass, even for a custom order, is the headstock. The unique shape is actually longer than what ESP allows. However, the original owner had a friend working at ESP, who found a way to bend the rules just for him. The unique headstock length creates very good weight distribution/balance for the instrument and prevents the neck from diving, etc. As all instruments at this price point SHOULD be, it's a beast to look at and a beauty to play.

We also can't forget the tone! The active circuit in this bass allows for a powerful and earth-shaking DEEP tone, but without the flubbiness that is sometimes associated with it.

As for condition, this bass has hardly been used and is almost pristine!
