I am selling my 2008 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster.  It has a most beautiful Cobalt Blue Nitro-Cellulose Lacquer Finish that really shows off the Premium Ash grain in the body.  This guitar also has a Birdseye Maple neck and fretboard; I ordered it with the maple neck and I haven’t seen too many others with the maple fretboard.  Everything on this guitar is stock as I ordered it from Fender Custom Shop.

I bought this guitar in 2008 and played approximately 40 gigs with this as one of two guitars that I used; I also practiced with it.  I have taken exceptional care of this guitar and it has a very prominent stage presence. I stopped playing this guitar after 2013 and it has been in storage ever since.

It is easily one of the nicest playing Telecasters ever, and the ‘Large C neck profile’ is very nice.  Having the volume knob toward the front of the control panel allows for amazing volume swell control with the pinky whilst playing on the "Nocaster" Chrome Dome Knobs; this was a very key feature in my purchasing this guitar.  Also, the 4 position pickup switch, as opposed to the standard 3 position, adds an amazing sound and versatility to this guitar.  Aside from the ‘belt-rash’ on the rear of the body and one small ding on the the lower front edge, the body of this guitar is in very good condition.  The neck is very smooth without any nicks or scratches. The ‘Top Hat’ switch broke in two at one point and I repaired it, it functions but is not tight, if this guitar were to be used for gigs it should be replaced.  The screws on the pick guard and the bridge show there age, but these can be easily replaced.  The frets are nice, medium jumbos with 4.5 years of regular wear on them; there are no dead spots or buzzes anywhere on the fretboard, this guitar is in perfect playing condition; all the electronics are sound as well. The pictures show that this is an authentic Fender Custom Shop, I do not know what I did with the ‘COA’ as I bought the guitar to play in a band, so I put it somewhere 16 years ago and have moved 5 times, I am looking for it now and if I find it I will update this post.

The guitar has been in its case for many years now and I am not a collector, I am a retired musician who has no need for a high end custom electric guitar.  I am pricing this guitar to sell and no reasonable offer will be rejected.  Shipping and Insurance are included.  For U.S. buyers I must declare the value as sold for the carriage value in order to insure the instrument, so, all duties and taxes will be your responsibility.
