About This Listing

Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty 1976

For sale is my 1976 Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty.  Very good condition for its age.  The original pick up was replaced by Gibson Burstbucker Pro.  I do not have the original pickups anymore.  Please look at all pictures.  The guitar has some finish checking since Gibson uses nitro-cellulose lacquer paint. These are just cosmetics and does not affect the playability or integrity of the guitar.  Message me if you have any questions.  The hardcase has a lot of cosmetic issues but still can do its purpose.  No keys.

I only ship to the lower 48 states. I don’t ship international. Item will be shipped within 48 hours (except weekend) of cleared payments.

Shipping and insurance is set for $125. If the actual shipping cost is lower, I will refund you the difference. Pick up is available if you’re local.

This guitar is also listed locally and to other websites. I reserve the right to cancel this item in the event it is sold elsewhere.

Product Overview
While made during one of the company's most controversial eras when many players saw a sacrifice of quality for profit margins, the Gibson Les Paul Customs of the Norlin Era can be diamond-in-the-rough finds for players with a keen eye. In particular, if you're looking for iconic LP growl with the workhorse construction that made these guitars a legend in the first place, many guitarists and luthiers alike point to the late '70s/early '80s models as capstones of the era.
