2014 G&L USA Fullerton ASAT Special Custom Build Honey Burst Rosewood Board w/OHSC and COA

Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to bring you a Custom Build G&L ASAT Special in rare Honey Burst and including the original case and paperwork. It's a Swamp Ash body, Hard Rock Maple neck, and a Rosewood fretboard. G&L was Leo's last of three companies and his inventive spirit was at it's height.

The innovative MFD, Magnetic Field Design Pickups have a wider tonal range than its counterparts with clear smooth highs and warm but growling lows. Continuing with the acronym theme, the ASAT name was borrowed from the military's Anti Satellite Missile System and Leo loved the imagery of a guitar shooting missiles.

But let's take a look at that special order wood bound Swamp Ash body for a sec. The Honey Burst Lacquer finish juxtaposed against the Rosewood fretboard hints to a Gibson theme and yields a timeless look. And we recognize the smell of a nitro finish. So sweet. The frets have barely any noticeable wear. You get the familiar 1 5/8" nut, the Classic C profile, the classic 25.5" scale length, and it starts at .85" and grows to .97" much like the early 60's Fender profiles. It’s called a G&L Classic C profile with a notable depth as you move up the neck. Leo knew what was hip. The whole package weighs in at a resonant and well balanced 8.77 lbs and comes safely packed in the original case. No disappointments.

Every guitar is detuned, the fretboard is protected, the headstock is wrapped, and the guitar is securely fixed inside the case.  If a hard case is not included, your guitar will be securely wrapped for shipment.
