About This Listing

Some lacquer worn off just below where the headstock meets the neck area from sitting on a hanger and also lacquer worn off at the heel around the top of the neck plate see photos, there is also basic play wear and some slight wormy figuring on the back That is very difficult to see in the photos. You can see it’s a 3 piece ash body, beautiful one piece maple neck, if you look close, it has quilts and Birds Eye figuring visible on the fret board, see photos, tapered neck, bullet mark on the bridge piece from 1982. As this was to be able to tell the difference between an original blackguard and this re issue, as they were similar at the time. Honest play wear, minor scratches and light checking and light wear throughout, the frets I believe to be in very nice condition. As you can see, the pots date to 1982, has the c.o.a. that came with the guitar which is hard to make out, red plush interior original duck foot case has places where the tweed has wear, see photos and look closely, no returns unless item arrives in other condition than as described. I love this guitar, but will sell for the right price, send an offer.

Had it set up at guitar center back during the pandemic, included the receipt.

Plays great, no issues, sad to see her go... it’s one of those just gotta have at the top of your collection pieces, definitely note the widened neck pocket as these were just built like that, as the legend goes, built from original tooling they used back in 52, in the same room, so go figure.

Btw if you want to know why some 82 reissue bridge pickups appear grey, its a black paper covering on the plastic, as you can see, it wears with strumming from a pick, the gray plastic beneath the black top coat becomes visible, this one has some chipping to the edges revealing some gray underneath.
