Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a rugged "general purpose" dynamic microphone made by Shure Brothers during the 1960's - 1970's that comes with the accessories shown. This 575S has a perfect working dynamic element and known for being a good harp mic. This is also great for general broadcasting & tape recording purposes with it's High Z setting. It comes with the plastic mic clip, lavalier necklace, short cable and original 575S box shown.

Pic # 2 is from an old Shure catalog showing this very model and all of the mics performance characteristics. It actually uses the exact same element as the Shure 540 and 540S model mic. It was a very affordable microphone if you didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on some of the more sophisticated cardioid dynamic mics of that time.

Very lite weight with an all plastic body and metal grill it's easy to hold and the 575S mic measures 4 1/2 inches long X 1 inch across.

If you like the look of this mic but need one in low impedance the 575SB model was your go to. This 575S is high impedance with a grittier, dirtier sound which harmonica players happen to like when recording or playing live. Signal strength is 100%. These make great harp mics by the way.

As you can see the black plastic finish is not in pretty decent physical condition with typical lite scratches and scuff marks. No fractures however. The front silver metal bezel shows no wear and the front grill is free of any dents, odors or tarnish. The Shure label looks very nice as well. I replaced the inner foam screen that helps reduce unwanted pops from speaking to closely into the mic. The on / off switch works perfect with zero issues.

Mic is solid with zero issues an comes with a short 7 foot original attached cable. The cable itself is soft, pliable and has a detachable male Switchcraft 1/4 inch end connector.

There is an aftermarket plastic mic clip that comes with the mic. It fits the 575S providing a good grip on the mic and will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have.

The original lavalier necklace is like new and allows you to hang the mic around your neck if need be.

The original box is in great condition keeping the mic safe and snug. While the box shows lite wear it works great and a great accessory for resale value.

I would rate the cosmetic condition of this mic a true 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT PART OF THIS SALE.

I do have plenty of mic stands for sale in my Ebay store if you need one. Thank you.
