Apollo Hollow body Guitar (1960s/70s)
Apollo brand electric guitars were made in Japan in the 1960s and 1970s and distributed by the St. Louis Music Supply Company. I am not sure what year this one was produced so I have listed it as being from the 1960s-1970s.
I've had it for a few years but don't really play it much so I have decided to sell it. When I bought it, there was no output so I rewired it. I used a prewired kit from GFS (Guitar Fetish) and added 1/8 jacks to the back of the pickups for easier installation or if you decided to swap them out. I did keep the original pots for those purist out there. I also have the original chipboard case.
Everything else is original as far as I know. Based on pictures I have seen on the internet, the tremolo used to have a pickguard material insert which was missing when I got the guitar.
With the guitars age there are some blemishes in its green burst finish. a few dings, or blisters in the finish and some finish checking. I have tried to show some pictures.
You will want to get a good setup because the action is pretty high.
