Beautiful banjo from the 1960’s Hofner factory in Germany! All original right down to the bridge, it’s a very beautiful piece and a solid instrument with a ton of songs in it!
This is an original 60's from Germany, not a reissue! it's in phenomenal condition all the way around for the age, and it plays and sounds wonderful. The action is low and vibrant and the sound is wonderful, message me for a video.
The original tuners and bridge are there for roll call, the original Hofner tuners have their own unmistakeable design that is similar across their instruments from this time period. The bridge has a bone top which is a nice touch, it's classy how they inlayed in that piece of bone on top of the wood bridge. The ornate details on the tone ring are beautiful!
The condition is really nice, it obviously looks really great. There’s a few dings and scratches here and there, but it’s undeniably great for the age. The colors are bright and vibrant, it looks less than half it's age. The banjo sounds and plays super great and it’s in great condition.
