Custom built Strat using USA Custom Guitars body and neck. This is NOT a Fender built guitar.
Body is 1-piece Swamp Ash and neck is quartersawn Maple. Neck profile is slightly asymmetrical and not thin but not really chunky either, 1-11/16" nut width. Frets are jumbo stainless steel. It is extremely easy to play and feels wonderful at only 6.5 pounds. Custom nitro lacquer finish done by a well known shop. Callaham narrow-spaced bridge and top quality locking tuners (I can't remember the brand but I spared no expense). Pickups are a mix of Fender: Bridge pickup is Custom Shop 54 bridge, middle is a 57/62, and neck pickup is a Custom Shop 69. Has custom switching/controls. Bottom tone control is exclusively for bridge pickup alone, all other switch positions use the middle tone control, volume control is low-friction, tone cap is a vintage blue astron pulled from an old Fender amp. 5-way switch works normal except middle switch position selects neck and bridge pickups in parallel instead of just the middle pickup. It sounds similar to a Tele 3-way middle switch position. All other switch positions are like a typical Strat. It has a great bell tone with great twang. I'm selling because I'm a humbucker player and don't have the heart to tear this thing apart to make it something else. This is the guitar I always play acoustically in front of the TV because it's soooo comfy and sounds good acoustically. But I rarely watch TV anymore. It has a few nicks on the body but the neck is in really good shape as is the rest of it. TKL case included and is in very good condition except for that strap that holds it from fully opening has detached (see photo of open case).
