Here for sale we have a Sterling by MusicMan Jason Richardson Signature Cutlass in Natural Poplar Burl Burst finish. Made in Indonesia, this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of an Alder body with a Poplar Burl Veneer, a Roasted Maple neck and 24 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with a 2-point Sterling Tremolo bridge and a set of locking tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are a pair of Sterling by Music Man Designed JR humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way selector, master volume with a push/pull volume boost and a master tone with a push/pull coil tap.

The Roasted Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the "Cutlass" profile feeling slender, filling the hand nicely for a smooth and articulate playing experience up and down the neck along with the Satin finish. The 16" radius Rosewood fingerboard has 24 Medium jumbo frets which assist with string bends and vibrato techniques, delivering a tailored playing experience in any position, whilst offering a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for quick lead lines. The 2-point Sterling Tremolo bridge and locking tuning machines provide solid tuning stability no matter how extreme the tremolo arm gymnastics.

The pair of Sterling by Music Man Designed JR humbuckers have a hot output, these pickups deliver rich harmonics, cutting highs and snarling mids in spades. The bridge pickup provides a fat and punchy humbucker-like sound, making power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones with broad tonal dynamics. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone making harmonics sing with a bell like tonality. The middle position provides bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup offers a smooth, warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones. The built-in active 12dB volume boost offers the player an extra push with solos to help cut through the mix, whilst the  push-pull coil-tap tone control helps clean up nicely for when subtler tones are needed.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching piercing the finish in places. This is most notable surrounding the machine heads, visible under most lighting. The treble side demonstrates scuffing, with the rear edge demonstrating light indentation around the perimeter. 

Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck has lightly buffed to a gloss through regular use. On the treble side of the neck at the 14th fret a small indentation is present, this can be felt slightly in the playing position.

Body: Overall excellent condition, very light scratching can be identified to various places of the body visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. These markings cannot be felt under the finger and are difficult to discern against the matte finish. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
