First year of production Kubicki Factor Bass in beautiful deep burgundy. Serial # 152. Drop tuner. Original style laminated neck. A few nicks. I've tried to show them all in the photos. Look closely. The finish itself still has a deep shine. Smooth player, perfect neck, frets are very good, great action. And the sound that only Phillip could master.
I purchased this in the late 80's. The small nick on the front of the top horn is from a drunk dancer who fell into the stage while we were performing. She missed my mic stand (and my teeth) but hit the stand with the Hotspot monitor which hit the bass. (Almost wish it would have been my teeth). Otherwise, all other blemishes are just 40 years of wear, mostly paint stuff.
The hardshell case is the one it came with. It appears to be a generic Fender bass case. I don't even know whether Phillip had a designated case at the time of unit no. 152. There is no inscription on the back bottom of the bridge either. I guess they hadn't got there yet.
