Welcome to All Music Inc's Musicdungeon, you are looking at a great example.
This is the Vintage 1970s Tokai Japan Cat's Eyes CE-280D Natural Mahogany Acoustic Guitar.
25.5" scale. 1.69" nut width. 15.75" bottom bout. 4.5" deep.
.89"-1.02" 1st to 10th fret neck depth.
We recently acquired a large number of acoustic guitars made for the Japanese market, including many Morris instruments.
This CE-280D starts off with an abalone bound solid spruce top, beautifully grained mahogany back/sides, and mahogany neck.
The mahogany neck has a comfortable oval C profile and a bound rosewood fingerboard.
This Tokai is in good +/- overall condition- marks/scratches/small dings/patina from being in storage, a chip on the side of the neck (which was smoothed out), and a repaired crack on the top- purely aesthetic.
The frets here are clean, set up with action of just about 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
There is no case included, but we pack for safe arrival as well as insure in full.
This is your chance to get your hands on a good Japanese market Tokai guitar.
Don't pass this by.
