Sugi Guitars

A high-end guitar brand from Nagano Prefecture, founded in 2002 by luthier Makoto Sugimoto.

Mr. Sugimoto worked for Elgar and Fujigen in the United States, and in 1985 came to the United States as a member of the "technical support team" of Fender, which lost its factory due to a corporate acquisition.

He is known as one of Japan's proud master craftsmen, and has had a great influence on the modern electric guitar world.

Mr. Sugimoto, who has had such a wonderful career, founded the company with the desire to create products that would be called masterpieces in 20 to 30 years, and that everyone would play them with designs that were the fruit of his own ideals. This is "Sugi Guitars".

The lineup is packed with the skills, knowledge, and ideas of Mr. Yamamoto, who has worked with many manufacturers, and each of them is a "master piece" that is loved by many players.

This model embodies the craftsmanship of ``aiming for the highest level of sound and visuals.'' The neck grip, ball-edge treated frets, and rounded fingerboard sides allow the player to concentrate without stress when playing. Each car is carefully finished and set up by a skilled luthier.

DS7C BM-PRM/H-MAHO 2P TAMB/BKB produced for the first time in 4 years has arrived as a used item. This is an individual manufactured in 2023.

There was a problem with the 7 string peg when it arrived. Since it takes time to order from the manufacturer, we replaced it with a product made by the same manufacturer (Goto Magnum Lock Peg). There are almost no other defects or scratches, and it is in like-new condition.

We use high-quality wood that is only produced in small quantities.

Carefully selected mahogany is used as the back material for the burl maple top with its characteristic wood grain. High-quality maple fingerboard/neck with a modest wood grain but firmly packed. With a bright and clear sound at its core, it adds the delicious midrange and sweetness that mahogany is good at. Even with a solid 7-string riff, it does not get drowned out and reproduces the low range firmly. In addition, both the rise and sustain are good, and the sound is clearly visible even in long tones and aggressive style lead plays/fast playing.

The pickup uses Bare Knuckle Bootcamp Brute Force Set. This is a high output pickup that uses a ceramic magnet. It specializes in deeply distorted sounds with a sense of fatness in the treble range, perfect for high-gain rock, progressive metal, thrash, hardcore, and extreme metal styles.

By combining it with a Sugi guitar, it adds a high-quality sound and good balance as an accent. It is also compatible with traditional sound styles.

It's not just a 7-string that produces a low range, but a high-quality, high-quality 7-string guitar that has the dignity of a high-end guitar, and has an aggressive sound and an uplifting look and sound.
