2022 Ethan Deutsch Flamenco

For sale is this exquisite 2022 Ethan Deutsch Flamenco blanca. Spruce top. Cypress sides and back. 100% french polish. The pegs are mechanical geared pegs which are very precise and easy to use.

I bought the guitar new, directly from Ethan. It is in very good condition, the only blemishes being fingernail marks in the top above the golpeador and the french polish is fogged on the area where the​ right arm rests on the finish while playing. Very usual and minor wear typical for any guitar with french polish. There is also a slight indentation on the side of the guitar. See the last photo. This indentation is not the result of any damage that occurred during the time I've owned it, but rather a very minor imperfection that arrived during construction. It is, after all a hand made artisan instrument.​​​

This guitar has ​​​an immediate bass response that is deep and percussive while being bright and crystalline at the same time. Very flamenco in a traditional and stunning way. It is beginning to develop the​ very desirable "hollow" sound that some few flamencas have. And I'm sure as the spruce top ​matures​ that quality will continue to blossom. It has opened up considerably during the short time I have owned it.

There are a few luthiers in the United States building flamenco guitars that are truly profound and Ethan Deutsch is one of them. If you don't know about Ethan, you should. Excellent videos of Gerardo Nunez​ on YTbe playing a Deutsch Flamenca owned by him. As well as many others.​

I hate to sell it, but need to in order to pay for a very expensive guitar I just purchased.
