This solid-body spruce guitar was made when plastic was king and wood was cheap. It was painted to look like it had plastic bindings and plastic body. Underneath this vulgar paint job was a magnificently built violin-quality instrument. Front and back are arched with f-shaped sound holes, floating bridge, steel truss rod in its neck for stability, and a heel-braced steel tailpiece holding its new strings.
This instrument has super-low setup for easy play. It looks big in the pictures, but is actually lighter than most guitars. The sustain is quite long, and its voice is sweet and resonant.
This has a minor stabilized crack on its front and a blemish in the wood of its back (see pictures). Neither affect its sound. This is a beautiful veteran, and we did not attempt to disguise its age marks. The beauty of its joinery, the spruce wood, and its sound easily outshine its few blemishes.
We recently raised the price to include a nice hard case that fits this guitar well.
